A little about us:
Workie Ticket Theatre is a survivor and female-led organisation based in North Tyneside, working across the whole of the North East. At its core, Workie Ticket uses theatre to raise awareness of gender-based violence. Founded by JoJo Kirtley and now led alongside Co-Artistic Director Ashlea Sanderson, we create bold, socially engaged work that centres unheard voices and untold stories that are community-driven with people rather than about them. Blending heritage, lived experience and care, we deliver grassroots workshops and educational programmes alongside our theatre productions and archival work. These projects spark discussion, challenge injustice and campaign to end violence against women and girls.
